⸻ WELCOME ⸻
A Lesson you’ll look forward to
Guitar Impressions is the teaching practice of Greg Cook — one of Adelaide’s most experienced Classical and ‘Fingerstyle’ Guitar educators. For more than twenty years, Greg has offered private, one-on-one tuition from his quiet studio in Leabrook, in Adelaide’s leafy eastern suburbs.
His approach is thoughtful and unhurried. Each fifty-minute lesson is shaped around the individual student — their interests, their pace, their musical curiosity. Whether you’re drawn to Classical repertoire, Jazz, Blues, Latin, or Improvisation, Greg meets you where you are at, and helps you grow from there.

Coming soon.
Greg’s approach to teaching.
Three ideas quietly shape every lesson — and together they describe what makes the studio at Leabrook a little different from elsewhere.
A World of Styles
Classical standards, jazz, blues, Latin, folk — Greg’s teaching draws from a remarkably broad repertoire. Students explore the music that excites them, learning technique through pieces they genuinely want to play.
The Whole Musician
Lessons run a full fifty minutes, because musicianship — phrasing, listening, the feel of a piece — needs space that thirty minutes cannot give. This is time enough to actually teach, not merely correct.
Reinforced Learning.
Every lesson is supported by audio-visual material to revisit during the week — so the week between lessons becomes part of the lesson itself, and nothing is lost to memory.
